CWL POINSETTIA FUNDRAISER
PLEASE MARK YOUR CALENDARS. The CWL will once again offer beautiful poinsettias for the Christmas season, direct from Bradford Greenhouses.
These beautiful flowers originate from Mexico where the ancient Aztecs used the leaves for purple dye for clothing and the milky white sap to make fever medicine. In 1828, Joel Roberts Poinsett, the first U.S. ambassador to Mexico, brought them to America. There is even a legend about a poor girl named Pepita whose weeds turned into beautiful red flowers for Christmas.
Choose from the vibrant traditional red, soft creamy white or the tricolour combination. Orders will be taken after all Masses during the weekends of November 7th and 8th, November 14th and 15th. Prepayment must accompany all orders.
Please be generous and consider donating a poinsettia to adorn our beautiful altar for Christmas. Delivery will be on Saturday, December 12th; orders must be picked up in the JFK Hall after all Masses. Check out the poinsettia samples in the lobby...do not miss this opportunity to purchase the Christmas flower!
