As we are settling into Fall, and the leaves begin to turn, we're thrilled to invite you to a fun-filled October with a lineup of exciting events! Whether you're new or returning, there's something for everyone—faith, fun, and fellowship! 

🥧🧣🙏  October 1 – Spiritus Central - Faith and Reason

If you are from the age of 19-39 you are invited to our upcoming Spiritus Central - Faith and Reason. Our Speaker for the night is Fr. Peter Turrone.

🥧🧣🙏  October 3 - First Friday with Friends

🕕 Time: 6:00 – 9:30 PM
📍 Locations:

  • Mass & Adoration: Sts. Martha and Mary Church (1870 Burnhamthorpe Rd E)

  • Board Game Night: Knights of Columbus JFK Hall

We’ll begin with Adoration and Mass, followed by a board game night in our JFK Hall. Join us for a relaxing evening of friends, food and games. Feel free to bring your favourite games and snacks.
 
At this event we will be collecting donations toward Dr. Simone and Canadian Food for Children. This organization aims "to give every person on earth the opportunity to develop their soul. To allow them the health to go to school and work to live a life of dignity, to be protected from abuse, to freely choose the faith they wish to follow." Attached are the donation guidelines and below is the link if you wish to make a monetary contribution.

🕖 Time: 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM
📍 Location:  Blue Mountain Resort - 190 Gord Canning Dr, The Blue Mountains, ON L9Y 1C2

Calling all young adults! Join us for the next Faith + Fitness on October 4. We will hike up Blue Mountain and celebrate Holy Mass.

 

Schedule:

11 a.m. - Begin Hike on Steep Waterfall Side (This is a challenging ascend. You can take the Gondola up and turn left and meet us by the big white tents.)

12 noon - Mass on top of the Mountain by the big white tents on the large rocks overlooking Georgian Bay.

1 p.m. - Walk to the other peak and pray the Rosary. Walk to end of path and down the mountain to the parking lot where we began. Total walk is about 20 km.

6 p.m. - Adoration and Confession at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church in Collingwood (63 Elgin St., Collingwood, ON, L9Y 3L6)

🥧🧣🙏  October 5 – Life Chain 2025

🕖 Time: 2:00 – 3:00 PM
📍 Location: Sts. Martha & Mary Parish - 1870 Burnhamthorpe Rd E., Mississauga, ON L4X 2S5 - Burnhamthorpe Rd. East on Ponytrail Drive

Life Chain is an annual event that raises awareness about the injustice of abortion and the inherent dignity of every human being, no matter their age. Join thousands across Canada standing against abortion in a peaceful and prayerful demonstration. Mississauga Right to Life invites everyone to participate in this important pro-life event.

This month, we welcome Fr. Tom O’Rourke, C.Ss.R. as our guest speaker, offering a reflection on one or more of the following readings:
  • 1st Reading: 2 Kings 4: 14-17
  • 2nd Reading: 2 Timothy 2: 8-13
  • Gospel: Luke 17: 11 – 19
Expect thought-provoking insights, small group conversations, and plenty of time to unwind with others over a pint (or your choice of drink – mine is tea) at Sin & Redemption Pub afterward.

🥧🧣🙏  October 11 – Public Square Rosary Rally

🕖 Time: 12:00 – 1:00 PM
📍 Location:  Celebration Square - 300 City Centre Drive, Mississauga, ON L5B 3C1

This rally is part of a Canada wide prayer initiation in collaboration with Canada Needs Our Lady.

Catholics will gather to pray the Rosary, honoring Our Blessed Mother and asking her powerful intercession for our Church, our families and our nation. Public prayer is a powerful witness of faith and a source of strength for all. Please consider being present at this gathering. 

 

🥧🧣🙏  October 15 - Spiritus West - The Importance of Water in our Faith

The talk will be on the sacrament of baptism and it will be led by Fr. James Cyfko. We encourage donations at the event. All donations will go into the OCY in order to further support our ministry.

Enter into a peaceful and meditative evening rooted in Scripture, silence, and chant. A time to slow down and reconnect with God in stillness.

Join us for an evening of good food and community to celebrate the 58th anniversary of our Church! Silent Auction, Raffles, Photo Booth, etc.
