A Festival of Prayer 2024: Lessons & Carols

AN IN-PERSON EVENT RECOMMENDED & SPONSORED BY THE OFFICE FOR PROMOTING CHRISTIAN UNITY AND RELIGIOUS RELATIONS WITH JUDAISM

The service of Lessons and Carols recounts the story of humanity's fall, the promise of the Messiah and the birth of Christ through nine short Bible readings from Genesis, the books of the prophets and the Gospels. The readings are interwoven with the singing of Christmas carols, hymns and choir anthems, creating a rich and festive experience.

This event is the final of a series of monthly services commemorating the 60th anniversary of the Vatican "Decree on Ecumenism" that have provided us with opportunities to give thanks for "The Beauty of Holiness" (1 Peter 1:15-16) that is ours in Jesus Christ this past year in the Greater Toronto Area.
